We focus on speed in every aspect of our products and ease of use inherently follows. The elegant form is the way our customer perceives and interacts with each SoundWater product. Focusing on elegance, from unpacking to measurement, makes our end users more efficient.
We consider speed in every decision we make here at SoundWater which inevitably adds more value to our customers. For example, during the development of our Orcas flowmeter, we took a hard look at how our mobile app connected to the flowmeter: USB cable, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Considering these options through the lens of speed forced us to see that a USB cable is yet another component that needs to be packed & unpacked, plugged in and maintained. Putting ourselves in the shoes of our customers proved this option to be clunky. Bluetooth was a more obvious answer and built in the ability for the mobile Orcas app to automatically connect to your ultrasonic flowmeter hardware.
Another practical result of our attention to speed is our Reciprocity Architecture. This is our electronics design surrounding the ultrasound transmitting and receiving. This technology prevents zero-flow drift and eliminates the need for calibration, resulting in long-term measurement stability and accuracy. Many competitor products require their users to zero calibrate their flowmeters each time they use it. This means end users need to shut down the process to stop the flow, calibrate, and only then go about their job of measuring flow. We have spent the last seven years perfecting our electronics with Reciprocity so that our customers do not need to zero calibrate their flowmeters and our flowmeters will deliver a stable measurement over the lifetime of the product.
