Meet SoundWater Calibration Services - NIST Traceable

SoundWater is now offering in-house calibration services for any clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters. This includes SoundWater Ultrasonic Flowmeters, as well as other manufacturers. The testing and calibration service helps to support our customers internal quality assurance programs.

The SoundWater 800G Calibration System is capable of measuring flows on pipe sizes from 3” to 10” in diameter, using steel, stainless steel, or plastic, and with a maximum flow rate of approximately 800 gpm. All pipe sizes and materials are permanently constructed in a massive grid, allowing SoundWater to quickly setup and test flows – meaning we can quickly turn around customer orders and at a competitive price.

Designed to meet quality standards, the 800G system measurements are traceable to NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) and capable of measuring flows with approximately +/- 0.5 percent uncertainty at 95% confidence interval.

All tests are performed with greater than 15 diameters of straight pipe upstream of the flowmeter installation. In addition, each line size is fitted with a special flow conditioning plate to assure the flow profile is fully developed – for accurate measurements.
